ROBIN BARKER, DIRECTOR
Robin has a very broad experience in tourism management, delivery, marketing, and consultancy, following six years as Head of Direct Marketing for Saga Group, nine years running his own marketing services company, two years at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, and five years at South West Tourism as Marketing Director and Deputy CEO.
He is a Fellow of the Tourism Management Institute (FTMI), was TMI President from 2016 to 2019 and remains an active Director. He is also a spokesperson for the South West Tourism Alliance and has served on the Boards of both the Tourism Alliance and Tourism Society.
Robin received an Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2016/17.

NELL BARRINGTON, DIRECTOR
Nell has worked in tourism since 1994, initially as assistant manager of a country house hotel but more recently as Tourism Manager for a local authority in Somerset and since 2005 as a freelance tourism and business advisor.
Nell has specific expertise in the food and drink sectors, building networks of providers and hospitality providers, giving her useful insight into local sourcing and food quality.
She has also been heavily involved in creating and managing events, and festivals, running niche marketing campaigns, and sustainable tourism.
She has worked alongside VisitBritain on enhancing tourist information and rolling out activity across several regions.
She is a member and regional representative for the Tourism Management Institute. More recently, Nell has led a regional programme of conferences for the South West Tourism Growth Fund (SWTGF) and runs both the Beautiful South Awards for South East England and the Bath, Bristol and Somerset Tourism Awards.
Nell received an Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award at the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards in 2023.
